Q1. How could I use the XP-Pen with MAC system?

A. Then XP-Pen Tablet may not be able to wake an Apple Macintosh computer. It only supports windows 98SE/ME/2000/XP and Vista.

Q2. Does my XP-Pen require driver to work?

A. Strongly recommend you install driver for your XP-Pen device. The XP-Pen is not only just a functional mouse; it works like a painter as well as graphic designing device. If you are working with Windows 2000 or XP as operation system that you do not need to install driver to work as a regular mouse. We suggest that if you want to use the other functions, you need install the XP-Pen driver.
Q3. When I install the XP-Pen driver and whenever I use the Word, I kept getting a "Micro Security" message. How could I disable this message and use it correctly?

A. When you open the Office Word and got the "Micro Security" message, please click the "Ok" then go to top menu and click on "Tools"a"Options"a"Security"a"Macro Security". In the "Security Level window", select "Low" security and click "ok". Now close the Word and open it again, the message will be disabled.
Q4. When I use the XP-Pen and want to write the words in the Word, why am I not able to use the OCR?

A. If you want to use the OCR with Microsoft Word, you must install the Word 2002. So far only the Word 2002 supports OCR function, rest of other Word version doesn't support OCR function.
Q5. What is difference between 512 levels and 1024 level?

A. High sensitive pen tip pressure technology for realistic art strokes and photo editing. Higher pressure sensitive gives more natural and controlled way to retouch and edit your digital works. 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity for the pen tip give smooth transitions from low pressure to high pressure. 1024 levels pressure sensitive works just like the real thing.
Q6. Why is the tablet mouse unable to work?

A. There are too many possible caused that the tablet mouse could not be able to work. Please check your tablet mouse's battery installed correctly or is the battery has enough voltage. The tablet mouse has to work correspondently with tablet itself. Please place your tablet mouse on the top of tablet in order to have them working properly.
Q7. Why is the cursor froze after I have not use it for a while?

A. The Pen and tablet mouse supports power saving function, when you suspend device for about 20 minutes. The power saving mode will active automatically right after specific time. To disable power saving mode simply by click on any button from mouse or pen.
Q8. Why is my XP-Pen not working properly even I have installed driver?

A. There are too many possible caused malfunction of your XP-Pen. One of the possible causes might be the USB driver. The USB devices only supported by windows 98SE/ME/2000/XP which inbuilt with USB driver. If your system doesn't support USB device, the USB interface device (for example; XP-Pen Tablet) hardware will not be able to use. Please check your Device Manager for USB device status to make sure the USB device is in working order.

Q9. Could I use other tablet driver for my XP-Pen tablet?

A. We do not recommend you install other tablet's diver instead of XP-Pen tablet driver. Although it might works seems well, but there are some function are still unable to perform correctly. If you have installed other tablet driver into your system, for the best performance of XP-Pen, we do suggest you to remove/uninstall the driver and install correct XP-Pen driver from XP-Pen CD-Rom driver that come with the package.

Q10. Why is my XP-pen could not work (move or scroll) as a regular mouse?

A. The XP-Pen built with a very precise Tablet LCD Panel (Module). As for XP-Pen, the cursor responses with "Absolute mode", which is different from regular mouse that responses with "Relative mode". Regarding to the "Absolute mode" of cursor working area is equal to your screen size. You might felt uncomfortable at first attend of XP-Pen, but after couple time of practice you will feel how handy XP-Pen it is.

Q11. Why is the tablet mouse does not work with the "pen pressure"?

A. The tablet mouse doesn't support the pressure function. It only works as a regular mouse. And yet the XP-Pen pen itself does support the pressure function. Please also know that there is not every graphic software supports "pen pressure" function. So far the "pen pressure" supported graphic software are: PIXIA, PAINTER and PHOTOSHOP.

Q12. Why is the cursor vibrating when I left my XP-Pen idle?

A. Since this is a wireless product. Tablet and Pen are communicated by send signals. If you left XP-Pen in idle time, but placed Pen on the top of Tablet. They are still in transmitting mode which cause cursor vibrating.

Q13. Why am I unable to open a file with my XP-Pen, and it keeps showing the right clicked menu?

A. This will only occur when you have made custom settings with your pen function. The default setting of Pen was set to "Right-handed". When it keeps showing "Right click menu" whenever you have pressure on your pen tip that means you have somehow changed to "Left-handed". Please go to "Pen Launcher" click on "Button" and change setting back to "Default" or "Right-handed". Press "Apply" when you are done, press "OK" to exit.

Q14. Why am I getting "system error" message when I am installing the XP-Pen driver?

A. There are too many possible causes for showing "error message". Normally it will shows up when "System Busy". While you are installing XP-Pen driver, whenever it asked you to reboot your system "Please restart the computer". Please follow the instruction and reboot/restart your system, and the install shield will carry on the rest of driver or software installation.

Q15. Why can I not able to use complete XP-Pen function when I login with different ID under Windows 2000 or Windows XP?

A. The XP-Pen functions are built on driver base instead of application base. Therefore, only the System Administrator has the authority to modify settings. If you are working with Windows 2000 or Windows XP only the Administrator group able to modify settings and complete function of XP-Pen. Other groups (for example; Power group, User group) are only able to use part of XP-Pen functions. Therefore, if you want to have complete XP-Pen function for all assigned ID user in your system, please added to "Administrator group".
