I ordered the XP-Pen Artist 12 earlier this month. I’m having a couple of major issues with it. My computer is an Alienware R4 laptop I bought a few years ago, and it has Windows 10. I updated all the necessary drivers, including the one from XP-Pen, which has the icon at the bottom right of my computer.
There’s two big problems:
I want my built in NVIDIA card to be applied to my 4K laptop display and I want the integrated Intel card to be applied to the Artist 12, NOT the other way around. It seems that each video card allows only one screen each. I have an NVIDIA 1070 and an integrated Intel 630 (?), an intel i7 CPU, and 32 GB of system memory.
Even with this problem, the Artist 12 works okay as an Duplicated display, but when I turn “Extend these Displays” on, the Artist 12 no longer shows programs like Photoshop. Also, when checking on the Display Settings via Windows, I get “didn’t detect other display” when I click on 1 or 2. On top of that, when I click “Identify” during Extend these Displays, both monitors 1 and 2 are identified as 1. Finally, I have monitor 1 checked as my primary display, which should mean my laptop monitor as 1. Yet when I check the card settings, both cards have those two backwards. Also, the XP-Pen menu correctly identifies Artist 12 as Monitor 2. I am at a loss and I don’t know what else to do. I don’t know if my computer is even compatible with this tablet. Any help would be appreciated. I live in the US. Thanks in advance.
