How to solve G430, G540, G640, 05, 06, Deco 01, Artist 13.3 & 15.6 can't use stylus to control cursor or pen pressure issue.

Applicable Model:Star G430,Star 05,Star G540,Star 06,Star G640,Artist 13.3,Artist 15.6,Deco 01

1. Please uninstall the graphic tablet or graphic tablet monitor driver then reboot.

2. Make sure computer login account is Administrator authority.

3. Disable Antivirus first then check to see if the stylus pen can control the cursor.

4. If not, please go to Devices then check “HID-compliant digitizer” in Human Interface Devices


5. 
If you cannot find it, please reconnect the tablet. If you are still unable see this device, please contact us at XP-Pen. (service@xp-pen.com)

6. If you can see the “HDI-compliant digitizer” and can use the pen stylus to control the cursor, please go to the XP-Pen website and download and install the latest driver.

7. When the installation is complete, the tablet icon will appear on the desktop or in your system tray. Please open your system tray and open the driver application to test the pen stylus for cursor control and pen pressure.

 

A: If you can see the tablet icon in the system tray but can’t use stylus to control the cursor:

a-1. Please go to device manager and look for “Pentablet HID” in Human Interface Devices


a-2. If you can’t find it, please go to C:Program FilesPentablet64 folder then right click on “install_hiddriver.bat” and “Run as administrator” then reboot, when system goes to the desktop try to test your pen stylus again.

(Note: If your system is 32bit, please go to C:Program FilesPentablet32 instead and follow the steps above.)

 

a-3. If you can see the Pen tablet HID in the device manager, please go to task manager then look for Pentablet Service (32bit).


a-4. If you can’t see it in the task manager, please go to C:Program FilesPentablet folder then right click on PentabletService.exe and “Run as administrator” then test your pen stylus again.

a-5. If you can find Pentablet HID in the device manager and Pentablet Service (32bit) in the task manager but still cannot use the pen stylus to control the cursor, please click “Pentablet Service (32bit)” and “End task” button in the task manager. Go to C:Program FilesPentablet folder then right click on PentabletService.exe and “Run as administrator” then test your pen stylus again.

 

B. If you can use stylus to control the cursor but cannot find the tablet icon in the system tray: 

b-1. Open the task manager then check look for PenTablet.


b-2. If you can’t find it, please go to C:Program FilesPentablet folder then right click on Pentablet.exe and “Run as administrator” then check for the tablet icon in the system tray. If the icon shows up, please open it then test your pen stylus’ pen pressure.
